Let's make it on the hearth! Perilla miso & shingoro
About the Plan
This is a food culture experience program that you can enjoy while surrounding the hearth in a natural Satoyama.
It all starts with starting a fire, then we make our own fragrant perilla miso and our local dish, Shingoro.
After meeting at the site, proceed as follows:
①Fire starting experience
②Making perilla miso
We make perilla miso by roasting perilla seeds, a local specialty and pesticide-free product, and then making it in a mortar and pestle.
③Making Fukushima Prefecture's local dish "Shingoro"
The mashed rice is formed into a ball, spread with perilla miso and grilled over charcoal.
④Mealtimes around the hearth
⑤Photography
At the end, you will be given roasted perilla seeds to take home as a souvenir.
